Steam & Diesel Gala Weekend 2025
The Friends of Kirklees Light Railway will be hosting their annual Steam & Diesel Gala Weekend on 6th & 7th September 2025.
Friday 5th September is Gala Preview Day! Come along for fantastic photo opportunities as the Steam Team test the engines to get them Gala ready. We will be running trains at 11am, 13pm and 15pm. Our doors open at 10:30am and we will close at 16:30pm. Please note that no other facilities e.g. jumping pillow will be open except The Firebox Cafe (limited food items available) and bathrooms.

Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless the event is cancelled by Whistlestop Valley.
If an event goes ahead as scheduled but a ticket holder is unable to attend/use their tickets for whatever reason, no refund will be given.
If you find yourself unable to travel due to illness, please email us at least 48 hours before your visit and we can offer you some options. After that cut-off time, we regret that we will be unable to offer you any alternatives.

Should the Whistlestop Valley cancel an advertised event, tickets may be transferred to an alternative date of the same price (subject to availability) or a full refund may be given.
