Café assistant - Position filled 

 

We're on the lookout for friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking people to join our our Catering team!

​

Hours: Variable (mainly weekends, Bank Holidays, Special Events, and school holidays), depending on the needs of the business

 

Pay: National minimum wage

 

Main duties

 

• Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen & front of house areas

• Preparing food & drink

• Maintaining excellent presentation of the catering outlets

• Serving customers

• Cash handling & waiting on tables

• Pot-washing

• Assisting with end-of-day cleaning and removal of waste

• Assisting with stock control

• Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and cleanliness in the WSV’s catering outlets 

• Preparing and serving Afternoon Teas with an exceptional standard of table service

 

Although the roles will be primarily be in catering outlets, you will need to be ready to take on other roles as necessary by the business, such as:

 

• Ticket Office

• Gift Shop

• Event staff (think Christmas grottos and Easter Egg hunts!)

• Attraction supervisor roles
